Scottish Apprenticeships

Foundation Apprenticeships

Fancy a taste of the world of work? A Foundation Apprenticeship could be the way forward.

Picked as one of their subjects at S5 or S6, they can choose between 12 subjects – including everything from software development and financial services to social services and healthcare.

They’ll earn a recognised qualification, which is accepted by most colleges and universities in Scotland, whilst developing real-world skills and experience of a working environment.

They’ll get the chance to:

• Train with an employer whilst learning at college
• Work with some of Scotland’s biggest organisations (Barclays, Network Rail, NHS)
• Complete their training over one or two years

It gives them the chance to try out a career, so they can decide if it’s right for them.
